Our virtual Design Engineering Summer Show celebrates the Dyson School’s class of 2020 as we graduate into a time of great uncertainty. As design engineers, we have always been acutely aware of how chaotic our world is. From the complex nature of the problems we strive to solve to the slightly absurd combination of people that make up our department, chaos is all around us – and this is true now more than ever before.

Chaos is an inevitable outcome to the unprecedented changes the human civilisation is going through today. Yet, it is from this chaos that innovation emerges and the combined strength of the human race blossoms. As design engineers, we have a responsibility not to shy away from these new global challenges and to face them head on. This exhibition of Masters projects from our graduating class is a mere glimpse into what's to come.

Every year, our 3rd year MEng students complete a 6-month-long Industrial Placements as part of their degree. From now on, you will be able to digitally explore the companies they've worked at, as well as learn more about the activities they've engaged in during this exciting period.
